Angis Tattoo has been operating since 1995 — the first tattoo studio in Lithuania. The brief was a site that matched that reputation: serious craft, individual artists, no generic studio template energy.
The Problem
Eight artists, each with a distinct style and body of work. The existing presence didn’t reflect the studio’s standing or make it easy to find the right artist for a specific style.
What I Built
An Astro site with TinaCMS for content management — giving the studio full control over artist profiles, portfolio galleries, and studio information without touching code. Gift voucher pages, a booking flow, and bilingual support (LT/EN).
The site is fast, visually led, and built to stay that way without ongoing developer involvement.
Why Astro + TinaCMS
The content changes occasionally and predictably - a new artist, a fresh gallery. That is a static site’s home turf: no server to maintain, no plugin updates, near-zero hosting, and the speed a portfolio full of heavy images actually needs. TinaCMS adds just enough editing on top so nobody has to call a developer to swap a photo. WordPress would have worked too - it would just have been more machine than the job required.
